Rachel Olsen: Grateful

Rachel Olsen: Grateful

Today I'm thankful for your devotional on Thanksgiving. I thank God for gifted people like you who can write and bring out thoughts that others can't and in doing so bring comfort, joy, release and encouragement in the midst of difficult times.
May you have more grace, power and passion to write more and be what Jesus wants you to be. God bless you!

The Dawning of a New Day

Having a great time viewing the sunrise reminding me of God's faithfulness in the midst of chaos, uncertainties, and dryness of the soul.

Watching the sun ready to burst its radiance announcing the coming of a new day assures me of God's faithfulness and mercies which are new every morning.

Life should go on in spite of what's happening around us, reminding us to live one step at a time. Life in the country with its simplicity and freshness filling the air makes me long for my childhood enjoying the cold and crisp morning breeze with the aroma of the green grass filling the air.

Thank You, Lord for the gift of life and for Your promised presence as sure as the sun rises from the east.

"From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised." Psalm 113:3

The Gift of Friendship

Two are better than one!

And a threefold cord is not quickly broken! Ecclesiastes 4:9a, 12a

NOTEBOOKS AND FRIENDS FOREVER...

Praise God for creating us with the power and ability to form deep and lasting relationships.

Thank You, Lord for the variety of friends You have given us.

Father, please forgive us for our tendency to be too busy to give time to our friends or be too wrapped up with our own agendas to take time for theirs.

Help us to be faithful and loving friend at all times.

Lord, thank You for the blessing of friends who, by sharing their lives with us "double our joy and halve our sorrow."

Go Skateboarding for Jesus/S4J!

What a joy to see young lives transformed and camaraderie forged when hearts are joined together regardless of race, color and backgrounds in the name of Jesus.

Don't think you must do great and noble and noticeable acts for your life to glorify God. He will be glorified through your simple acts of love, kindness, compassion and obedience, whatever they are, wherever you are...even skateboarding!

Psalm 133:1 " Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"

Lift Up Your Hands in Praise to God

In times of despair, hopelessness and uncertainties, lifting our hearts in praise to God is our act of worship.
